Atomik RC in the US is having a HUGE sale on the LC Racing EMB series 1/14 mini scale 4WD vehicles. You may also know these as the re-branded Tacon Valor, Cavalry and Ranger. I purchased the EMB-MTH Monster Truck, Brushless Version (AKA Tacon Valor), for $139 USD (http://www.atomikrc.com/products/lc-...ster-truck-rtr). They listed that as being 44% off. For me in California, the shipping was free and there was no tax. Therefore, $139 was my total cost for a very nice brushless rig. I am totally stoked!
The brushless EMB-DTH Desert Buggy (AKA Tacon Cavalry) is 45% off at $145 and the brushless EMB-WRCH Rally Car (AKA Tacon Ranger
is 47% off at just $119. Unfortunately for all you fans of Short Course Trucks, the brushless Short Course Truck (EMB-SCH) is only 13% off at $199. Supply and demand, I guess.
I received my LC Racing EMB-MTH Monster truck a couple of days ago. I have not had time to drive it yet, but I sure am impressed with the build quality. I have been into 1/8 and 1/10 scale trucks (both crawlers and bashers) for quite a while. I have a collection of them and love working on them, so I am very familiar with what makes a rig good.
The brushless versions of the LC Racing EMB 1/14 series have the following upscale features for a low price:
Although I have not driven my rig yet, I think the price of $139 is unbeatable and I wanted to get this information out to all the forum members before the sale goes away. If you are into mini rigs, jump on this. If you are not, but have considered one, take a look.`
Background on my choice of this new rig:
I love my 1/10 and 1/8 scale rigs so had never considered a mini. However, when my grandson asked for a mini-basher for Christmas, I started researching them. I ended up ordering a 1/18 scale Dromida brushed Monster Truck for him because it is considered to be durable and it's not too fast. Tower Hobbies had it on sale for $89 and they carry all the spare parts including aluminum upgrades and brushless conversion parts. I am a Tower Hobbies member and like ordering from them.
In the process of researching a mini for my grandson, I became intrigued in one for myself. I read a lot of good things about the brushless Tacon Valor Monster Truck which is currently $179 at NitroRCX. I did not want to spend that much. Besides, NitroRCX is the only place that sells the spare parts. Then I discovered that LC Racing makes the re-branded Tacon Valor. The LC Racing EMB series can be purchased in several locations. Many places, including AsiaTees, sell spare parts and upgrades. Therefore, when I found the brushless EMB-MTH Monster Truck at Atomik RC for only $139, I pulled the trigger without hesitation! "thumbsup"
Atomik RC ships outside the US, but I don't know to what countries or how much of a premium it is. For those of you outside the US that are shopping for a deal on an LC Racing rig, at least take a look and see if this works for you.
