I bought this because I own a Dodge Ram that is almost the same. Now I have a bug to build a scaler or crawler. What chassis can I retrofit this body to? I want something that can articulate pretty good but also looks good and scale. I found a chassis that is $899 (http://www.rcrockcrawling.com/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=242) but I think that's just a little pricey for just jumping into the hobby. Also, I'm a newb.

Welcome to RCC!!
Wow!!! $899? I'd say thats pricey, Sounds like it should be Gold plated for that price
There are many options for a scale chassis. My advise would be to browse around the forum here, especially the scale sections and I think you'll find what you're looking for. The search feature is also very helpful.

I'm going to move this thread to the Newbie section because it doesn't fit the scale section at this time. When you start the rebuild using the scale frame/chassis, feel free to post a build thread here in the large scale section.

1/6 you'd need pretty large running gear.
Clod is easy but not the most scale.
Twin or mad force are pretty scale for axles.
A R2 or e-maxx tranny would be good on the twin force setup.
As for a chassis that's up to you.
I've built them using NN chassis from the crawler store.

This is a 1/6th jeep with the 1/6 nylint tires
running clod axles and a NN chassis:

here is why it's so expensive: What's included:

"1x Predator Tube Chassis

2x Raptor axles

2x Upper 4 links posts

2x Clear dusk cover

2x Heavy duty knuckles

4x Custom shocks

4x BL04N Beadlock Wheels

1x Steering kit (front & rear)

Note: This kit still require Moab XL Tires (Proline part # 1119-00), 1/6 scale truck body, Radio, Servos, ESC, Batteries and Charger.

Note: Many 1/6 scale truck body can be found in your local Walmart store (toy section)."

It's the same price at RC4WD's web site, so buy it from them, not some 3rd party, Link http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=572

Though, If I took the time to paint that sick trueflame paint job for this huge project, I think I would have killed whoever either dropped it, or drove it into the wall making the paint on the front bumper peel and crack. I also would have photo-shopped it to cover that up.
