1/7 scale Traxxas

something to compete with the Bomber? That's about all that's missing from the Traxxas stable. A U4 rig.

It pains me that a shit site like Big Squid has become the "official" source for RC news.

With that being said I'm so pumped about the Traxxas UDR as it's being called on the Traxxas forums. Apparently official info will be released next week.

Anyone else find it oddly coincidental that two big manufacturers are releasing large scale trophy trucks around the same time?

A little but I like it.

Seeing if Losi and Traxxas learned anything from the 1/10 BR and XMaxx. Build the diffs to hold 1/5 scale power and not 1/8 scale in a 1/6 chassis.

Oh and ditch the lame 22mm hex already.

Honestly I think the diff problem goes back to putting 1/10 size diffs in the 1/8 scale Summit/ERevo. They're not even in that sturdy but have that sloppy fitment as well.

I'm calling it now, that Desert Truck is gonna be fantastic. This will be just like the TRX4; they hang back long enough to see what the other brands are doing, and then innovate.

I'm not usually a Traxxas fanboi, I just have a really good feeling about this...

Even as big as Traxxas R&D probably is I highly doubt they waited for Losi.

With that said I definitely wanna see what this thing is and how beefy it is. I need to put my Yeti XL cage on something besides the dog sh*t it sits on right now.

I think the new Losi 1/6 Baja Rey and apparently it’s new competition, this Traxxas thingy will do well. Of course the guys over at Kraken and such have already spoken and called them “Toys”...
I’d rather have found out about this through another source besides BigSh** also, oh well.

I've see this too. Traxxas is coming out swinging this year again. Last year with the trx4 and now this. Wow what else is going on behind the doors? I like what I see, now how yo come up with more $$$. I need a third job I think.

Where did you see Kraken talking smack?

Kraken better cut the smack talk and find a different U.S. distributor just in case Hobbico goes away........

I'd think that Kraken was being totally tongue-in-cheek with that comment, no need for everyone to get their panties in a bunch... ;-)

(see what I did there?)

Yeah I don't see an issue with it either. And let's be honest, Kraken is such a niche manufacturer that they really aren't a threat to anybody.
