1/7 scale Traxxas

in this photo it looks like its barely larger than a SC8E, which had a 15" WB body.

its definatly way smaller than teh super baja rey. but the same price. 19.5" wheelbase.
my moneys still on the traxxas at this point (NEVER THOUGHT THE DAY WOULD COME ID SAY THAT! )

the hood/aircleaner bump looks more like a TORQ truck. which makes sense as they sponsor that series. but the spares and stuff are definatly more SCORE truck like.

The details are so killer, but I don't understand why they wouldn't make it the same size as the Baja Rey and Yeti SCORE.

I'm curious about this being made into an Ultra 4... Ditch the body, spare tire carrier, and add some creative body panels.

Would love to see the size of the wheels / tires. Would like to see slightly larger ones for an Ultra 4.

Just my initial thoughts..

That has my attention. It would make a cool looking U4 rig.

It may end up being pretty close in size to those other trucks.

Doesn't look anywhere near the 19+ inch wheelbase of the Super BR and a 16 inch wheelbase would only be 1.5 inches more than a Baja Rey.

Hopefully, but the $750 price tag and 4S to 6S requirements lead me to believe otherwise.

Uh oh it looks like traxxas is going to be suing Losi because of the super Baja rey!

Why make it the same? For now all the desert crowd is bashers. There isn't any organized racing going on so there is no need to hit a given "spec". Whovere starts racing first can claim vehicle class specs for their race branding. UDR truck could be quite popular. The benefit if a smaller vehicle would be a less expensive truck. Would love to see the specs for this. As an added bonus, we get another source for scratch build parts.

finally a size comparison next to a slash!

based on the slashes 12.75" WB and 23.4" over all length
im guessing the new truck is 14.75 to 15.75" WB just like i guessed a bit larger than a SC8E(15" WB)

So I can race with my friends that have the Baja Rey and SCORE.

The $750 price tag pretty much guarantees reduced popularity.

I dunno, I see tons of $1000 Xmaxx's out there... $750 isn't exactly chump change, but depending how much stuff NEEDS to be replaced to make it reliable, the total outlay may not be terrible. I've had several 1/10 and 1/8 scales break the $1k mark before I called them "done."

I'm really digging this truck and unlike my Baja Rey, I might actually get to see one of these in person before making any decisions (just because Traxxas is every where.)

Damn, Traxxas is really upping their game. My E Revo was probably in my top three all time RC's, only got rid of it because I don't have anywhere to run it anymore. I haven't touched an RC in over two years, and I want one of each of those. So they can be put on shelves in the garage in a year, next to all the other stuff I no longer play with.

looks like Traxxas is already ahead of you on the panels...

anyone else notice the different wheels on the red/black and white/orange trucks?
