Yeah..the stock foams are good for like 6lbs and under...im running a stiff single stage foam in my clone scaler..in another set i have on a scaler thats about 5.5 im runnin the stock dual stage...i know a few guys have tried different dual stages with good success..im sure others will post up
My SCX-10 is right @ 6.8 lbs fully loaded, and even it was too heavy for the stock foams. i contacted Eddie @ Crawler Innovations, and he recommended the Lil' Nova dual stage foams in 4.25" w/ firm inner, soft outer on tthe front, and firm inner, and medium outer on the rears...
My Bronco is light at 6.2lbs and stock is fine. My Tundra is 6-14oz and it needs more foam. I put some RC4WD foam from my rock hard IROKS and it is better. I see Eddy is coming up with some water resistant foam that looks promising...
Does everyone have their wheels vented? I was wondering if the stock foams would work with a sealed wheel set up?
I'm pretty sure Santa is bringing me a set of Pit Bulls and some aluminum bead locks. I was thinking of trying them without venting first. It took days to dry out my memory foams last time they got wet.
