1300MaH lipo run time question

I was wondering if anyone could shoot an avg run time on a stock ax10 a 1300MaH lipo would run for? I currently have a 3300MaH nimh battery but i wanna get a smaller battery to run down low so i can get the heavy nimh off the battery tray.

I get about 10 mins on an 800 MAH so a 1300 should make at least 15 mins if not 20. I run a Novak 55T motor {not very efficient at all} and a Mamba Max ESC so the quality of your electronics also plays a part 8)

FX-R 45T and a 1300mah maxamps. i get 15-25 minutes, depends on the terrain and how happy i am on the throttle

Nice. Once i get a new motor later on i can look forward to longer run times. Atm just the stock axial motor. Really looking forward to running a battery on the front axle or on the front links. Heavy nimh on the battery tray is killing me.

I use the Turnigy 2S 800 maH batteries as they sit neat alongside the servo - they're cheap enough to have several in your pocket. I get longer run times than CC out of mine - 25 mins if I'm careful on the thottle. I use a Novak Rooster esc and a 55T Rooster motor. Make sure you use a balance charger and that your esc has a lipo cut off - the standard Axial one doesn't. - The newest one I hear does though.

esc: Mamba Max with BEC at 6V
motor: machine wound 45T tekin
tranny: RC4WD with dig
Gearing: 16T pinion and stock in R2
Battery: 3S 1300mAh from Krawler Hobbies
run time out trail ridin and some rocks.........................2 1/2 hours:lmao:

50/50 on how light and hard I am on the throttle. How are you guys only getting 20 min on these things???

Somehow I find that hard to believe:shock: I run 3s 1250's in both my rigs( crawler and scaler) and have never seen an hour of useable power.

I second this motion

Tekin FX-R
CC BEC @ Stock Amps
RC4WD 45t
RC4WD R2 Tranny
1300 3S Turnigy
same 16t pinion on stock R2 gear

I still get about the same"thumbsup"

I am also convinced that its in the tranny because the R2 is a very low end torque beast

depends on your driving. when I was on 2s, my 1300mah packs were lasting about 20min, my 1000mah 3s packs are lasting 35-40min, (not on full throttle as much on 3s)

Thanks for all the input. I suppose i should of mentioned i have a rooster crawler esc with the stock axial motor. It was funny to me that the stock ax10 didnt have drag brake, got a deal on a rooster for like 35bux. The 1300 mah batterys seem small enough to fit along side the servo. I dont do comps, so i want a decent run time. Having to carry a battery or two isnt an issue. I live in the desert so i got lots of terrain to crawl on. Buddys dad lives on a mountain so we always just go out and crawl for long periods of time.

I timed mine today, 36 minutes of constant movement before the Rooster cut-off started twitching - a mixture of heavy and light power - about 50:50. This was from an 800mAH Turnigy p2S pack. The pack has been cycled 11 times. I charge balanced, at a rate of 1.3A.

Whilst I was not meaning the comment of "several in your pocket" to be taken literally, and it is always prudent to treat lipos with respect, they don't go off in your face every day. If cycled packs hundreds of times, as I'm sure most of you have. I have only ever seen one pack go wild, and that was a cheap chinese battery, in the early days of lipos. It went whilst being charged by an equally questionable chinese charger. I never charge indoors, and always in a fireproof container. They are hazardous, treat with respect, keep them separate from each other, preferably in their one safety boxes.

Buy a good and reputable charger - it's at least as important as the battery pack.

I'm running cheapbatterypacks 1300 3s lipos on my ax-10. I have a hh br-xl with a clapped out 45t integy motor and I can see close to an hour if I'm doing really slow crawling. If I'm on it all the time it gets closer to a half hour of run time.

If i can get 30mins out of a 1300mah 2s ill be stoked. cant wait for my new hubs, knuckles and swx chassis to get here. got my axles all greased up and ready to go. CKRC messed up my order. so hopefully it still gets shipped by monday. Or ill be a little upset with them.

Hey duuuude. CKRC is that bad? They seemed a little off when i called them. I only made an order because they have the lowest prices or will beat anyones price. And they had the swx chassis for like 68bux. thats the cheapest ive seen anywhere.
