New to crawling, decided on 2.2 pimp cane for chassis. Looking for a list of parts to make it comp legal. Understand i need clod axles. Saw some super clod axles on ebay, are these the same as the regular clod axles? Any suggestions for parts would be welcome. Thank you

clod buster axles? the ones the motor sits oN? i dont think those are allowed in comps, well in most they are, but in alot of comps it must be shaft driven, so be aware! "thumbsup"

Clod axles are Clod axles. You can snag a set any where from $60 to $100 Used. Upgrade Parts are easy to get. You need to look for a set of Wheels that will Narrow your Track width up. If you can get it down to 11in or 10.5in... You'll be doing fine. With a 2.2 Pimp Cane. You will have the Rear axle flipped. Cut off the rear bolt Tab that points straight back... I ran Small C'ed Alumn Tubes and Smaller Knuckles. Both I Sell. These allow you to lock out the Rear with just a longer bolt and some Nuts. In the Fronts they allow you to run a much wider range of wheels. Has for Tires. You will want skinner set up. Helps Keep track width down, easier to turn as well. Either Rovers or X-Locks.. A Pimp Cane can't be as front heavy has you see the 4linked set ups. You need the weight to be more Balanced. This gives a better feeling rig to drive.

You can trust R2J, he has some of the best 2.2 Clod builds I have seen and his products are 2nd to none.

2.2 pimp cane

I loved r2j's pimp cane so much I built one for my comp rig and he was very helpful and knows a ton about them. It works great for me and was within my budget and I also never liked to follow the mass and thought if I could beat just one high dollar berg I felt like a winner. I'm in the process of upgrading it with a rooster crawler for the drag brakes and did some other thigs since these pics. You can see I moved the steering and changed the batterys and tires aswell from the first upgrades a while back.
