I just realized my tlt rig I bought a week ago is setup to run 4 wheel steer (minus the servo and steering linkage). My question is can I buy an adapter or solder a couple servo wires together and plug two servos in to one receiver connector for full time 4ws?

Will I run into any power issues?

Receiver = Traxxas TQ

Just get a reversable Y cable to connect the 2 servos, dont splice the servo wires. Power wise it depends on your ESC, you may need an external BEC. But in the long run youll want to get a 3+ channel radio to have seperate steering.

You can also run a standard Y harness to run the 2 servos. As long as you are not running a high torque servo you should not have problems. But if you do decide to run a reciever pack be sure to unplug the red wire going to your receiver from the esc.

The Y harness will work (as long as the BEC can power both as tothers have mentioned) but the down side it the truck will always steer the same way. Meaning no "crab walking"

You can get it to steer like:

But not like this:

Don't get me wrong the truck will turn much tighter!

Hope that makes sense.

Chris
