2012-13 SCRCC Series Comp 2 @ Neal Shoals

@ Slowbro-- If you do all that it should be fine. Depending on what you use for power you might want to replace it or keep an eye on it

@ strato54-- Thanx Ray my hip is okay even with the bruise the size of a tennis ball on my right but cheek.

I already said it in the SCRCC meeting thread but I will put it up here as it makes more sense. I would just like to say thank you to everyone that set up the courses and judged, it is a lot of of work trying to do that and run your own curses. I think this last comp was a blast can't wait till next month!

Is that why you only ran 2 courses...or did your rig give up?

Yep...dunked it after I ran course 3. Was reaching over it and when I brought my arm back my elbow hit it and knocked it in. I took Kim's receiver out of her XR and used her controller for my mini.

Pics that me and Kim took

Nice pics...thanks Wendall! You coulda bound someone elses 4PL to your rig without much trouble...maybe an option for you or someone else in the future "thumbsup"

i already have two programs set up in my controller for another crawler with dual esc's if you ever need it again let me know! sorry I didnt think about this untill ryans post :(

So i saw rovers, sedonas, cougars, and pins. Which tie worked the best?

Rovers won "thumbsup" Marcus' 5.5" cougars worked really well for him though 8)

I did run my Khaos and Blocks on my 2.2S and didn't really notice any problems with them on it.

This location has a great mix of high and low traction rock surfaces. Then you throw in some mud here and there and that's why I stuck with Rovers on my 2.2pro...especially since we ran them first that morning. If we'd run them later the pins probably would have worked just as well.

Yeah I could have. Someone else offered to let me use their controller but I wasn't sure I could remember how to setup two escs...I didn't want to mess with it at the time, I was aggravated to say the least lol.

A combination of sedonas on the front and rovers on the rear worked very well on all the surfaces also. I think next time I'll run a different tire on each corner of my rig. Seriously, it's true all the tires seemed to work there when it dried out a little. Now if only we could get shoes with soles made from white or red dot rubber, cause the footing was a problem early.

Great pics Wendall. Thanks. I especially like the 59th photo from the top. What flex......Schweeeettt.

I could only imagine how that'd feel to see the radio go for a swim.

For programming the worst case would be you'd have to COPY their programming to another model within the controller...they do have a copy function like the 4PK I believe.

Yes, the 4PL does have a copy function. Also, I have the 4PL Manual in my toolbox at all times just in case my 58 yr old memory goes out on me. Wait.... it won't tell me how to fix that....but I did have it with me and will if we ever need it at the comps.
