2020 Las Vegas Scale Nationals

Got my ticket for King of Logandale. I should be out there Fri-Sun camping on site. Gonna take a Jeep, some beer, and the smoker. Should be a good time!

Re: RC4WD presents 2020 Las Vegas Scale Nationals

No updates since June 11. Is everything still a "go"? Or, is there still a possibility of another postponement/cancellation? What's the latest...and, hopefully, "greatest"...info?

Since SEMA was recently cancelled they’re playing it by ear. Nothing solid yet but I’d consider it tentative at best currently.

I'm going to assume that it wouldn't be possible to "postpone" again...it would have to either go forward, or cancel. Obviously, is prefer the former...but, if it had to be the latter, I'm assuming refunds would be in order, correct? Either way, I'd still be heading to Vegas (as I did in March), as I could always attend the NAMBA District 19 races (being held the same weekend).

Imo refunds aren't necessary just postpone scale nationals until sometime in 2021.. Sucks but all we can do is roll with it. Thanks the the organizers of this event no refund is a positive thing just means you already have a spot.

Then, technically, it wouldn't be a "postponement"...it would, effectively, be a "cancellation" of the 2020 event, as that would be the 2021 event. If it does have to be changed again, refunds should, at minimum, be made 'optional'. I don't like the idea of a cancellation anymore than anyone else who already had their spot...but, at the same time, those people with spots, depending on their job, might not be able to rework their schedule a third time.

Using myself as an example, as a professional chauffeur, it was difficult enough to schedule time off for this past March...that was before COVID-19. Getting the beginning of November off should be fairly easy (again, because of COVID-19). However, next March (assuming that's when a new date would probably be scheduled, if the current November date can't be done), limousine businesses could be back in full-swing, making getting time off difficult (or even impossible). That's why I'd think, IF it had to be changed again, refunds should be allowed, as an 'option'.

Here's to hoping November WILL be too "go".

If you have a ticket I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to sell if you can’t make any potential postponed date.

Per the update on face space last week, they’re looking to hold off on making a decision till 9/1

Unfortunately we have to postpone till 2021 due to BLM permitting - Looking at March but I need to work out some details before I can resubmit.
I know it sucks but it was completely out of our hands.

As of right now all the tickets are staying as is and we push to 2021 - If someone can not make that and can no resell them, msg me here or FB or make a post. I have a list of people that want tickets still.
