So far i'm VERY pleased with the rig and the few changes i've made. It drives much better than stock. (even tho stock is great!) I can't wait to continue and build this bad boy up and get into RC Crawling!

oh and PS.. Panther Leopards FTW!

Today at k9's house we tinkered for a while and i learned lots more bout setups and crawling.

I notched the skid for inboard lowers, added aluminum links and top frame stiffeners. I also made two brackets to mount the receiver and esc and lowered the body on the frame.. here's some pics!

Looks like so far you've done great with the mods, body looks good low. Eventually you'll throw some more money at it to make it even better! "thumbsup"

Well today I installed a Novak Fifty-Five motor :) i def can tell a difference in torque.. plus i switched around the wiring to get rid of that typical axial "faster in reverse" problem.. now i got all my torque going forward and smooth :)

I also made the Green go away :)
First i tried this since my mom had it in the kitchen... IT DIDN"T WORK! you gotta get the yellow can of Easy Off... not the fume free...

Here's some after pics.. I changed the lower links and the upper support bars.

Today i re-did all my links making sure they were nice and tight and i moved the lowers farther in on the axle end to stop them from binding on the frame. I also advanced the timing on my novak 55t and re-soldered all my solder points so they are nice and clean :) i'll post pics tomorrow..

ok here's those pics i promised

Pic of wiring and you can see how i replaced the little battery bracket mounts and put in spacers on that cross member piece

Here is a pic of the front and rear lower links at the axle end. I moved them to the outside using a longer screw and a spacer on the inside next to the shock mount. Seems to be stable and i have no binding in my suspension :D

I also went to my first comp last Saturday at Little Moab with the 801RCC group.. those guys are awesome and I had a good time.. There were 35 people who ran 2.2 rigs.. I didn't have a dig and my chassis and shocks are stock and i only have a few updates but i was able to get 29th place ha ha i'm just glad i didn't get last! My best score on a coarse was 18 cause i had to hit two gates and since i have no dig i had to reverse quite a bit ha ha..

My crawler seems to side hill really well.. I think it's a little on the light side and reading the new Post on Axialracing.com about Flex I think i need to limit mine a little bit and lower my rig a little.. It tended to drop a tire in to holes and cracks and really screw my run over ha ha...
well here's some pics!
