:-( after i hooked up rear steering kit i pluged into AUX. the rear wheels go to left or right position only. I then got a 2 into 1 plug and tryed that. now it turns the same as front. i need to get 1 of my servo's to run in reverse. How do i do that? do i need a better radio?

any help would be appreciated..

Thanx,

What electronics are you running? If you are running the RTR radio, then yes. The RTR is only a 2-channel radio, you'll need to upgrade to at least a 3-channel. The cheapest you'll find is a Traxxas TQ3, then you'll have to mod it for rear steer.

If you're going to upgrade to a 2.4ghz radio do your research. I love my 3PM, but it is totally wrong for running a rear steer.

Thanx,

I do not have rear steer but try inverting your servo.servo horn and see if that helps.

One more question, are you looking for just the rear wheels to turn opposite of the front, or are you wanting to control the front and rear wheels independantly?

for now i want to turn opposite of fronts when i turn the wheel, I have a 3 channel Airtronics radio. tommorow i'll post make n model, there at home, i'm at work.

ALSO, i have a hesitation between forward and reverse, is that normal? no hessy going forward , just backwards.

Thanx again for the help. I never had this much fun with my T-Max!!

If you have an rtr and are running the stock esc than there will be a delay, also there is a couple of things you can do to fix the rear steer, im guessing you are using the same brand servos for front and back. Some brands turn one way and other turn another, if you have the money through a hitec and a futaba servo and futaba turns opposite of hitec atleast when my dad had rear steer. Or you might have to get another y splitter here it reverses one servo so they will turn the same.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm debating about a rear steer setup, but was wondering about controlling it with my radio. I have the Ko Propo EX-1 Mars UR (2.4 gig). I'd like to have individual control of the steering, i.e. wheel controls front and I control the rear via another means on the radio, possibly the assignable scroll wheel above and behind the trigger

agreed with the 3 channel remote fix... otherwise buy a 7 dollar y harness for the servos. the only problem is now you do not have control over each axle, but both axles will move opposite. (the way you want)

Thanks, everyone. Lastnight i got a Y harness with a reverser. That did the job. I do have a 3 channel radio but it doesn't mix channels, so i could only have the back wheels left or right, no straight.
see ya on the rocks!
