Is there a quick fix for the pistonslap syndrome, i remember reading about a oiler type deal but havent found anything. Any input would really help.
 
Some piston slap at startup is actually pretty normal on some engines (especially with a long stroke) once they get some miles on. Once the piston heats up and expands the slap goes away. Oil and oil filter selection can help to lessen the piston slap. Fram is notorious for having issues with the anti drainback valves due to their design and cardboard endcap construction. If your using a Fram filter I would switch over to the recommended OE filter.
