for smaller crawlers an indoor track can be made out of high density styrofoam. I know it sounds stupid but i'm not talking about taking all the old styrofoam from old purchases and making a track out of it. This foam doesnt chip off like styrofoam. Basically what you do is cut it in the shape you want (you can actually make the thing, then cut it into pieces and store it in like a closet or something) and then cover it in elmers glue. Once the glue is staying in place (you know like slightly dry) cover the shape in that grass stuff they sell for making railroads and stuff. Makes a nice scale course. They also sell products for things like sand, pea gravel, and rocks.
But yeah back on subject for a larger course just decided what you want (do you want something strictly for crawling, or do you want it to look good? and then just open your eyes. Basically all your materials are around you.
I wonder how much it would cost to gunite stuff
