HECK YEAH! Finally found a super cab Ranger!
I got 3 coats of silver down, and a coat of black on the inside of the body... OMG! The protective film on the outside feels glued to the body or bonded somehow! I managed to peel a small section but my plan of painting it with the film as a mask is out the door and now, I am just trying to figure out how to get it off!

You went from a Chevy to a Ford?!

Haha. Looks good. You don't often see silver and orange together. I used to be a Ford hater, but their full-size trucks are some of the best-looking. The Maverick though...I don't understand the appeal of that piece of garbage that feels like it was designed and manufactured in the 90's. Oh and I do want a last gen Mustang...

Ford guy here, I built the Chevy for my brother-in-law and he never grabbed it...
I owned a couple Chevys in the day, and both were absolutely terrible...
Late 90s, early 2000's were the pinnacle of car design imo. They had enough power to get out of their own way, they didn't weigh a lot for their size, and we had some of the most driver-oriented cars out... I still own a 1996 Mazda B4000, aka Ford Ranger and a 2000 For Explorer V8. I hate the modern electronic assisted cars, they are terribly bloated and have only minimal driver feedback.

First time I saw the super cab Ranger I snagged it

I have never owned a Ford, but like I said, a newer Mustang is high on my want list. I had a Cavalier and an S10 in the 90's and both were perfect. That S10 took more punishment for over 100,000 miles than I would expect any modern day care to survive. And I'm terible with maintenance so it wasn't treated nicely in that regard either.

I have a lot of Fords in my family and plenty of horror stories like a $100,000 truck being delivered without all of the U-bolts on the leaf springs.

Which Chevys did you have and what issues?

I had a 92 chevy suburban, 350V8/ auto and a 94chevy Prism. The suburban had nothing but problems, and not small ones. Rear end went out Transmission slipped, it developed a misfire, that I couldn't figure out and none of the mechanics I took it to could either. (found out later it was probably the distributer) I traded it for my Mazda with 212k miles on the clock and never looked back. The Prism was just a pile when I bought it. Honestly my expectations were too high... It burned tons of oil and would lose a cylinder any time I drove through a puddle... oh and a 3 speed non od auto... Had that car for 2 years replaced it with a Lincon Town car.

Preferences often come from personal experiences and that Suburban was a bad one for sure. But you can't blame Chevy for the Prizm! It was a POS Toyota! :ROFLMAO: The Geos were all made by either Isuzu, Suzuki, or Toyota.

Yeah both were bad, I don't hate Chevy, just prefer Ford... My B4000 was one of the best made by Ford and it shows( I have owned it 13 years now)... My 86 F150 I had was also meticulously maintained by the previous owner and as much as I beat on it I didn't kill it. (First car) I had an 96 escort I blew the motor in, totally my fault... Overall good experiences with Ford, Nissan, Bad experiences with Chevy, Toyota...
