AIR BRUSHING need some help

Does anyone use air brush to paint their body?

I'm new to this air brushing I just recently painted my body its dull,is it supposed to be dull or does it come out to a nice finish!! How do I get it to a nice finish or do I have to spray clear on it?

Did you paint the inside? Did you use waterbase paint? If you used water based paint you can soak it for a week in water and it will came off. Matt
I've only painted 6 bodys.

actually I'm not painting a lexan body! I'm painting my f350 quad cab and my yota body the quad came out pretty good just to dull,but the yota I'm air brushing it black and it looks wacked its really rough but is it supposed to come out to a nice finish or dod I still have shot some clear after the base coat is on??

I'm using air brush paint that I picked up from my local craft store,I painted my quad pearl silver and it didn't look nothing like pearl silver its really dull so I'm gonna shot some clear on it,and as for my yota I'm painting it opeq black and it didn't turn out as good as the quad it came out rough and dull and I'm shooting at 40 psi. I'm thinking of getting some other kind of paint besides the air brush paint and just thin it out hopfully it'll turn out better than the o.g air brush paint.

If you are painting on the outside of the body, you will have a very difficult time getting an even coat and a shiny coat. Evey thing I have ever airbrushed I had to put a clear over the top of it. You get dry spray, it is unavoidable because areas dry before you get more paint on them to blend together. Here are a couple of picture of things I have done. This way you know that I know what I am saying.


Now, if some people on this forum would answer their pms' it would help me some. mickey

You did paint the inside of the body didn't you? Also did you remove the over spray film on the outside?

Thanks guys for the help I think I know what's wrong, it the paint I'm using it SUCKS so I'm gonna try out fast kolors and just thin it out with some laquer
