This was a restore project for a buddy of mine. Chassis black coating was removed and polished by hand (brillo). Castle Sidwinder ESC/Motor combo installed. Factory Works battery brace mounted. Car was upgraded to ball bearings and broken parts replaced. My buddy was extremely happy with the end result, so much that it is now under glass with lights on a shelf in his mancave."thumbsup"

Once again Alex....."thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"
A clean classic rebuild

Always a joy to see your stuff, nice to see you here again :ror:

That's almost full circle whats-old-is-new-again combining the almost forgotten DS with the no prep theme. Very well done.

Thanks Greg..CLEAN AND CLASSIC is what l like to build, lol. yeah, its been a while man...i havent worked on crawlers in a while...although i must say ive taken the Wreckluse and my blue bronco out to the dirt and snow last winter...The short wheelbase bronco is my favorite because its the most realistic handler and is a joy to run. The short wheelbase and fat little tires are a treat to watch.

Thanks!!! I got the DS bug and somehow just started collecting them and bringing back to life better than the past...as i like to say "this ain't your daddy's DS". Check out the Pantera DS...a mid engine double conversion. Or the Gulf mustang DS... a long wheelbase version using a GT chassis. You wont be disappointed. I have a few more to post...some of which have been in this site in the past but photos lost due to photobucket issue.

stay tuned for more DS cars:ror:
