Alloy wheels for Ryft

Hey guys, I don't see a dedicated sub-forum for the Ryft, so posting my question here. Can anyone inform if the stock tires (which are meant to be glued on) will work with any aftermarket alloy or steel beadlocks and if so which? Thanks.

1) There is a Ryft section.
2) Can't speak for the RTR version, but the kit comes with (plastic) beadlocks, this the tires are not "meant to be glued on".
3) You can use any machined 2.2" wheels...just be sure to get hubs that are wide enough (but not too wide).
3a) Vitavon Racing has a REALLY nice set (of 4) machined wheels that Arthur (the 'primary' behind Vitavon Racing) designed specifically for the Ryft. Even better, they can be ordered in a selection of anodized colors (such as this incredibly brilliant blue).

Thanks for the info on the Vivaton wheels, but I think you might be thinking about another rig as the Rift most definitely does NOT have bead locks, see section G12 of the manual. https://manuals.plus/horizon/axi03009-rbx10-ryft-110-scale-rock-bouncer-manual

Where is the Ryft section in the forum, It’s not in the Axial section. EDIT: never mind, I found Ryft threads in the 2.2 Scale Rig section.

My bad of the wheels...you're correct. As for the Ryft section, look in the 2.2 Scale Rig section.

I have been using hot racing 2.2 stamped steel wheels.
Part# HRABLW22H18. They are raw steel so you need to paint them or they will rust, but they are 52$ for all 4. The hubs give plenty of spacing for all the steering components. Used rustoleum semi-gloss black paint on them and like the look. stuffed the stock tires with proline 2.2 dual stage foams. Personally I find proline foams to big, i feel they over stuff a 2.2 tire. but the rift tire seems to be made for the proline foams.

They are axial 2.2 tires. I would expect they have the same bead design as any other axial tires. I haven't messed with the ryft specifically, but my rtr v1 bomber tires, treps, and ripsaws (all axial) all mounted easily on chinguish, or axial brand beadlocks.

I can't imagine they did anything special for the ryft tires that might change that.

I’ve heard that the tires with the RTR Ryft are supposed to be geared towards glueing but I removed them from the stock wheels and mounted them to a set of SSD Challengers with no problems.

Great info, what I was looking to know, thanks!

I'll check the Hot Racing wheels out, thanks!

Thanks again for the tip. At half the price of the SSD's and free shipping on ebay, it's a no brainer. Just ordered a pair, painting will be a fun little side project.
