Alternative to roc412/ pro4HD

Looking into alternatives for a budget build. Looking for 4 pole sensored. I know the puller pro is a bit cheaper but stills more than I'd like to spend. My question is has anybody ran trackstar or hobbywing or any other motor designed for short course trucks or 1/8 buggies/truggies.

This will be going in a 6-7lb wraith used in a mix of trailing and crawling. And yes I have an all metal transmission and driveshafts.

The Turnigy motor is quite good but it is huge compared to a motor normally used in a Wraith. Here it is next to a Pro4HD and regular 17.5 brushless motor.

The Hobbywing XERun 3656 motors are quite powerful and well made but I have no idea how they handle low speed situations. Tenshock motors are a good budget option as well, I have used a X211 motor in my SCX10 with good results. SkyRC makes the Toro S-Pro4HD motors that are supposed to be good but they are quite hard to find these days (Wouldn't be surprised if Tekin's lawyers had something to do with that).

That trackstar is huge! Glad I asked. Do you have a 550 motor to compare to? I already had to trim the upper link mount to fit my Traxxas 21t 550 can.

The Pro4HD in the middle is a 550 motor, it is about the same size as the Traxxas 21T.

Holy lord. That won't fit at all. Might look into the tenshock motor. The 13.5 looks like the kv rating I'm looking for.

Other than torque, what does 4 pole vs 2 pole motors differ? Any effect on crawlability? Price wise this fits the bill as well. But only 2 pole.

This is what I have been using its a 2200 kv motor I have been using it for a while on 2s works well no issues it can hang with the best of them, 4 pole only thing is its 5mm shafts but there's plenty of 5mm 32 and 48 pitch pinion gears
