I have a few questions I could not seam to find the answer to...

Is there a way to tell what alloy I have in front of me?

I know its High Quality, even the smallest sliver from it is STRONG and resists bending better then straight aluminum.

I got the plate from a friend and don't know what it is.

Can all aluminum alloys be anodized?

Anodizing only deals with the surface of the part right?

How deep does it penetrate? Can it be left in longer to penetrate deeper?

Would it harden the teeth on a gear and be worth it or would it just wear right off?

My gear ate two Hyperion 3025-8's on 14.4v for breakfest and barely shows signs of wear.

It mates to a steel gear so I was thinking about havin dude anodize it for me...Maybe extend the life of the gear?

I have a bigblock on its way to me now.

Thanks in advance!
