An idiot and a Mamba Micro Pro

I am putting together an MRC Pro for the first time. Among the parts I have secured, I bought a Losi insane motor a while back and I just bought a Mamba Micro Pro. Like a bonehead, I didn't read the specs closely enough and now I have two parts that wont work together. So I need an opinion on which to keep, the motor or the ESC? Are there any decent brushless motors for the MRC? Or if I return the ESC what is a good one for the MRC + Insane motor? A Sidewinder Micro?

Please help this idiot figure out what to do. Thanks.

It will work just fine I had that same setup for a whole season.

You'll need a castle link to switch the esc to brushed mode.

Really? I could have sworn I had read that it did brushed motors, but the 5 mins i looked at the manual before dinner made it seem like it was only brushless. And the 3 connectors freaked me out. I guess i jumped the gun. Glad it'll work.

Nothing more to see here.

Nothing to worry about, that's the same setup I had in my mini, like the other guy said you need a castle link to change the esc settings. I would try a 12 t pinion and stock spur first, anything over 12 the insane gets pretty hot, I used to run a 14 at times ANd I could smell the motor if I got bound up, lol

Dude I run this se up on 3s and it works great smoked it but still runs idk how but it does. The micro pro does run brushless just dont use the middle white wire
