First let me just say I really appreciate this site. The quality AND quantity of information here is excellent. YOUR posts are what is reflected in this truck. I've never had a crawler before, I've never seen a crawler before, I've never seen a 1:1 crawler before.

I started with a Super Clod complete truck(leftovers will in the classifieds soon), got the CX2 chassis as well as CMR's motor mounts and dust covers. I got the TQ3 pre-modded from thecrawlerstore.com. Also went with the Super Rooster, 55t Integy lathe motors, 9t pinions, HS645MGs front and rear, and some Powerline T/E-Maxx shocks. For batteries I got 6 cell GP3700s from cheapbatterypacks.com. I locked my diffs with JB weld, and also installed a full bearing set. For now I'm using stock clod tires and rims which I narrowed by 3/4" or so. I plan to get some Moabs asap.

I just got back from wheeling it for the first time. Learned quite a bit. I'm really impressed with everything on the truck except the tires. I don't have anything to compare them to yet though.. so maybe they're not all that bad. Anyway, here's some pics, let me know what you think! Driven into and out of each shot of course. Thanks again!

Oh yeah... :flipoff: Now I'm official.

Great job. Those high clearance lower links must be nice to have. Excluding the tires, you have a realy nice setup.

Very nice!

It's nice to see what someone else has done with the CX2 chasis, and you'll love the Moabs when you get them.

I'd really like to pollish the chassis but since it's so new to me, I'm not ready for downtime. I've had it out in the woods for about 4hrs now, having a blast.

I stripped the servo saver in the front, exactly like Destroyer said he did to his. So that's got to get changed. I also need to get some spare ball ends. The front steering linkage is taking a beating. Other than that it's doing great.

I was just going to say something. Had a couple on a clod I bought a while ago. They turned to slinkies pretty quick.

You could also move the steering link above the knuckle to give you a little more clearance. Every little bit helps.

Thanks Krawler.. that's a good idea. Do you tend to bend bolts or break the tabs on the hubs any more easily than with the link under? Deffinitely gonna go with Moabs.

I've never had a problem and I run both my V2 chassis clod and CX chassis clod w/ the links above the knuckle. Maybe if someone has had problems with it they will chime in.

Ok.. links are on top of the knuckles. Moabs are ordered along with some of Bender's adapters. I went with some cheapo rims for now, I really want the silver Commandos but it sounds like they won't be around until September or so. I also fixed the servo saver and mounted it back up. For as expensive and burley as that thing is I think it should last longer than that. I've got 8 of those inserts that it stripped so I'll use them before I try something else. I did buy a generic servo saver at the LHS to have as a backup.
