Hello guys,

Here's some pictures of my TLT1/Bronco project. Its about 90% done right now and it is one of the best/fun RC trucks i've ever had in over 10 years in the hobby, just an awesome little truck after modding the crap out of it . Its been extended to about 11 1/2 inches, locked front, back and center diff, custom belt tensioner (pede tranny coming soon, but never had any problems with this setup), traxxas slider half shafts, traxxas 72t spur (biggest one i could fit with some dremel work), 9t pinion, Mag Mayhem motor, HPI Ford Bronco body, ect...just ordered a super rooster, a new shock set and some other parts to finish it up, but let me tell you, if your thinking of buying one, DO IT!..with some modding this truck its an awesome crawler. The truck its able to flex 90 degrees but i'm having some minor issues with body clearance wich can be easily fixed.

Well here's the pictures, lmk what you think :P

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

could you post a few more pics on the chassis lay out and the link setup im very interested because mine should be here in a few days and i love the way yours came out.

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

Looks good, this should be up in the small scale crawler forum too.

I like the look of the pullers with the body, it seems wierd though that the axle looks so narrow. The wheels look to have a nice amount of offset, but the tires seem so close together... Maybe its the angle of the picture :? BTW, some fuel tubing slipped over your steering links can go a long way to making it look a little cleaner, and more custom.

Anyway, I agree, anyone looking for a truck that takes literally no fabrication skill to make it atleast competitive should get one. Here's my TLT-10 when it still had the stock chassis and gearbox. The current incarnation of the truck can be seen in the small scale forum. Anyways here's the link: http://community.webshots.com/album/86946242MWUQmP/1

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

Thanks for the tips PwT, the fuel tubing idea its great
I know what you mean about the axle looking narrow, the problem its the tires, you can tell in the first picture. I'm going to try some Swamp Dawgs or a set of Mashers to see if it looks a little better, but the pullers work great.

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

plays_with_toys.....what type of tire is on the bigger scale monster truck in ur pictures u have in this thread....its givin me some ideas(looks like a good tred)

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

If you're talking about the webshots, the big savage I am posing on top of has some Losi Zombie Maxx tires. They are very soft compound, but last I heard they were very hard to buy.

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

sweet what are the sliders off of 'pede or maxx?
did the fit right on or you need some modding?
also how long are the links?
gonna make this my sons first project as he's 7 i want it simple and straight forward so he can do it himself ( with a little help  )
and not just sit and watch

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

Tell you what nishru, I'll get all the part numbers up on friday with an explanation. I actually want to make an article for this site, but won't have time till next week.

I don't want to steer this thread away from the beautiful bronco up top though. :D

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

nice ride. ordered mine last night

Re: Another TLT1/Bronco project...

Here's some updated pictures of the bronco. I changed the tires to proline masher 2000 and i think it looks waaay batter than with the pullers. I also put some fuel tubing over the steering links (Thanks to Plays_with_Toys for the tip  ) There's also a picture of the stock diff and the yokes that i modified to fit the traxxas shafts (Stampede ones), i'll try to take more pics of the setup as soon as i can, hope the picture helps!

Man! That thing looks great. Very nice work. I'd like to build something like that after the full scale and my TXT are done. But with a Jeep body of course.

(not that I dislike Broncos)

i just want to say nice mini crawler you have, it makes me want to stop what i'm doing and buy one them and build it into super crawler. keep up the good work.
