Any one got a Blade MCX?

I have one. There is not much that you can do to upgrade it. I have converted mine to use the white canopy and white tail. I love mine. It's sure is a blast to fly.

I am planning on converting it to the new S300. It is the same thing except the looks....canopy, tail boom, rear prop, and white lower blades.

Helifreak.com is a great forum and you'll find lots of info in the MCX specific section there.
I got one last Christmas and have had a blast with it. The only problems I've had out of it are broken flybar holders, and the only way to replace them is to buy an all new main shaft/flybar holder. Good news is, it's less than $10 to fix it. Either way, they can take a lot of crashes and abuse. Get a couple more batteries though, you'll want/need them later!

I haven't done any mods to mine other than modding my charger so I don't have to rely on batteries, I just plug it into the wall.

i got a mcx 300.
i fly it @ my living room, and love it
more than my bigger blade!

i took some paint pens
and colored my canopy blue and my tailboom silver.
put two yellow paint stripes across the top of the blades
just @ 1/4 in off the ends,about 1/4in apart.
looks cool when the blades spool up.

I've had one from the first week they were out"thumbsup" I got the BAF. It is one cool little heli that anyone could fly! Parts are crazy cheap to! I have changed out everything on mine to the glow in the dark parts. That's all you can to them really. I think there might be a better lipo out for them now though....

yea, ive snapped 2 flybars, so i got extras and glow in the dark blades....

zippy make a 138mah for them , @bucks a pop!

Im gonna learn to fly it well, and get thre BNF MSR when it come out. those things RIP

got mine straight off the fed ex truck at my lhs an never regreted it

found a site that makes parts for them
mainly asthetic upgrades tough

i got the yellow racing canopy for mine and love it. notice a slight drop in flight time because of the extra weight but it looks pretty sweet zipping around at the office.
im definatly gonna pick up the msr on release day

couple mods ive tried.

one is clip the tail and bring it in closer for faster turns as well as cut the fin for less yaw drag.

also you can clip the ends of the fly bar... that will quicken it up.

also cut the top circuit board mount down about a 1/32/16th of an inch to tilt the electronics board and make it parrallel with the push rods.

tune the length push rods if you cant dial it in with the transmitter adjustment. if things start getting out of wack after you do this mod. also doing this may net you more forward speed

i believe the black blades are lighter and fly better than the glow in the dark but it may just be me.

also you can lube up the bushing/bearings with some lithuim grease and bearing oil... what these little buggers need is some more voltage b/c at a mile up they just dont have the oomph like they would at see level.

i havnt checked out mods for them latley but thats what i did to mine
