any one know if there is a way to record what goes on around my house via my web cam.. what i want to do is leave my web cam to record strait to my hard drive.. like a security tape. Is there any easy free way of doing so?

Move out of WJ? Sorry I don't have any real advice, just a jab at you westsiders. :ror:

There are plenty of ways. I googled 'webcam as security cam' and got tons of hits right off the bat. This is the first one:

The only problem I see with using your hard drive for video on that is it will fill up QUICK. I'd look into using something that was motion activated, and possibly something that shoots still pictures like the link above.
