Hey All! (Or whoever is still left here)
I was wondering if anybody has experience with the meus ifs kit.
I've got so many issues and problems and questions.
I'm not sure where to start, so I guess I'll rattle off the things I've encountered, in no particular order.
First, I ordered the ifs kit, and the mb18 body kit. I also ordered injora shocks for it. With the shocks installed on the front, they don't have enough spring to flex the arms. I tried doubling up the springs, but that didn't help. With the steering links removed, it flexes great. Everything attached, not so much. With the stock shocks, it's a little better, but still doesn't max out travel.
I could keep going, but I think I'll stop here, just to see if anybody else has input, I'll continue with my issues if anybody has insight, or cares.
Thanks.

I only have experience with the Element IFS kits. I can confirm that 99% of the time you wont get to full compression with an IFS. Typically you only get 50%-70% of the travel out of it (on one corner).
A solid axle can work well with a much lower spring rate as both sides sort of work together, this allows us to use pretty soft spring rates. However if you tried the same springs on an IFS rig and flex one corner it will usually just compress all the way and wont rebound. It sucks but thats an IFS for ya. Its a balancing act between so soft the front end collapses or so stiff it actually works but wont flex :ROFLMAO:

I'm sure you're aware but I'll just say it, IFS will never do as well as solid axle setups for technical crawling. But what they are is just different and thats what I like about them. They're fun but just expect some goofy-ness

Element's IFS kits have specific springs that are a much higher spring rate, pretty stiff for a crawler but they need it.
Even with the right stiff springs (or maybe because of it) The front end can easily unload when descending off camber or really steep obstacles.

Regarding the steering linkage, sounds like something is binding or you're over extending the suspension. The pivot balls on the rear of the knuckle are pointing up and could possibly be binding, with that orientation it can only move so far.
