Anybody use HobbyKing batteries?

yes, many of us do. great batteries for the price.
Thats a prett big battery if your planning on running a crawler. I would look at the 3s 2200 batteries

I also use them but I think I am going to upgrade to some nicer batteries in the near future.

What kind of rig are they going in? The biggest packs that I run in my berg are 3s 1000mah. Anything bigger than that and they become hard to find a place to put.

Well, if you are in the US, and you don't plan on trying to get more then 100+ amps constant from the pack..

Is a better deal.. 5000mah, 20c, 20 bucks! (And cheaper/WAY FASTER shipping from the US warehouse)

I have many HK/Turnigy/Zippy's from well before they opened their US warehouse, and the oldest are almost 3 years old. I haven't had any problems with them (Unlike the mystery brand from dealextreme) Your mileage may vary.. I tend to under-use my packs.. I run them at about half of their C rating, and recharge them at half the recharge C rating... I also tend to swap packs when voltage drops to 3.7v/cell. It still gives me hellatiously long run times due to my low amps being drawn. My (older) 4000mah hardpacks from HK give me 60+ minute run times... I'm buying a pair of those listed above soon, as once my new (to me) scaler is going, I will need them for long distance trail runs!

The reason I was going 4000mah is because it will see duty in my scx10, ax10, and slash. Wanted to buy 3 or 4 of one battery and just use them in all 3 trucks.

Ohh, how did I miss that one? Heck of a deal.

Thanks guys for your input, this is waaayy better/cheaper than buying a big name lipo for 5 or 6x the price.

$1.98 is a killer deal for another 1000mah lol..

Hell, Ive been around RC long enough to remember when a 1500nicd was a killer race pack.. and 800-1000mah's got used as practice/basher packs, yet still cost 50 bucks a pop!

Check out the elite packs form cheapbatterypacks.com, Also i have ran turnigies and they are the best cheap pack i have ran. I have ran the blue lipos from hobbypartz.com, i have ran a pack like g-force (got it at lhs) turnigies were better than both. and i am running max amps 1100's now and i think the 1500 35c turnigies i had were just as good or better. But after reading through the thread on here about the elite packs i think i'm going to be ordering those my next battery order

i'm like losikid, i've used lipo's of all kinds. But i ordered 3 of the elite lipo's from cheapbatterypacks and it was all i could do to keep my crawler going straight:shock: was using my steering hand to wipe away the drool:oops:

buy from chris YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED!

I would go with the higher discharge rating if you plan to use them in a Slash, they will handle heavier load from running a lower turn motor and being at full throttle more often much better then a lower c rating battery will, it will also give you more punch...

I saw their comparo.. I'm not dissing them, but for budget minded people who are more or less bashing and aren't comping/racing.. There are cheaper batteries out there to keep us up and running.

For instance, my scaler typically won't draw more then 20 amps, so C rating means little to me. In a case like that, a $20 5000mah lipo is just for pure run time and budget minding.. Every $40 I save on a lipo, is $40 I can use to upgrade my meager little ride, and in my book that's a good thing. "thumbsup"
