I did for a bunch of years. Got the the point where I could competently fly ccpm but never quite made it to inverted flight. Not sure why I parked them, I think it might been because of how stressful ccpm can be but over time I just sort of drifted away from helicopters and landed on crawlers.
I decided it was time pull out the old whirly-birds though. I have a 120sr and a 130x that I run off a dx6i. I know, comically old gear, but it works. I was quite pleased with myself when I realized I had bought brand batteries for the birds beofre I hangared them and they were nicely set to storage voltage so even after 5 yrs in a box they're good as new.
I had the 120sr out for a quick flight this morning. I forgot how intolerant to any wind these things are. There was just a light breeze and that made it more annoying than fun. I'm starting to remember why I stopped flying..
Glad I pulled them out but I also remember why I parked them..
