i was thinking about the grinder and chocp saw for doing tube work... figured it would make life easier...

PRECISION and Harbor Freight should never be used in the same sentence.;-)

To answer your question though. No I have not used that cut wheel, looks like it may be of some use in cutting tube to length, but that is really about it. My Ryobi bandsaw does that job and more just fine. The grinder looks very weak, almost like a jewelers wheel. I have a 6" 3/4hp table top grinder from harbor freight that works very well, and has for many years.

For 20.00 the cut wheel might be worth a try, if it breaks... lesson learned. If it works, all the better.

everything else I would pass on.
 
The mini cut off saw is SMALL. It limits the size of material you can cut and the store don't stock 2" cut off discs/wheel either. I almost bought it cuz it was $20 but got a 4" grinder/cutter for $16 and ten 4" cut off discs for $4. I'm gonna stick it in my vice and use that to cut stuff.
