Anyone used Duratrax esc?

I installed a Duratrax Intellispeed 16T mild esc with reverse in my son's T3 and he runs battery after battey without getting hot. Just wondered if this might be a good esc to run in my TLT-10? I looked up the specs vs the Super Rooster and it seems to be real close on all aspects. Only diff I could find is it's smaller, lighter and less expensive.

I used a duratrax esc once. it was cheap and looked good on specs but it lasted 3 runs. It was in a midnight pumpkin and it got up on two wheels and fliped over in some grass.....teh esc never worked again. Maybe just my bad exp but i added on better connectors so the warranty was voided i just bought a super rooster after and never had an issue again.

Do I use the regular rooster or spend the extra cash and get the Super?

if you got the money i'd get a super rooster. I use to run a super rooster with 2 silver cans just becuase it was a nice esc. I had got it previously for the pumpkin with a 13 turn in it but it was great for anyhting you need. Nice esc. Duratrax i never cared for any of their products.

I personally have two roosters and 1 super. Both seem to work the same to me. I like them both. BUT the rooster is cheaper and you can get a remanufactured one here for $40

I run the Intellispeed 16t w/reverse. I actually ran 2 of them with a y-harness on an e-maxx transmission once. They are inexpensive, and they work. I currently use one with my lathe motor. They're not bad. The answer to me seems to be that if you have one sitting around and are going to use a low turn motor, then absolutely use it. It's designed for beginners and in my experience is fairly durable (I never had issues). If you're going to be buying a new one, then buy one of the Roosters. Novak products are excellent, and worth the money, even if they are more expensive than the Duratrax. Then you'll be running the same ESC that most people on this site use, and you can rely on their help for troubleshooting should you ever need it.

Personally I like my Tekin Rebel 2. It has a good bec and can run just as many cells as an SR. I also like the adjustable reverse delay. I got mine for about $86 shipped from StormerHobbies.com. Here are the specs:
