A precautionary tale.
I have a new Axial Deadbolt. I have added a Holmes 27T Torque Master, a Castle 10a BEC and a Solar D772 servo. This is running on a Gens Ace 2S 5000mah pack.
After running yesterday, I cleaned up the truck and 2 hours later the AE-2 ESC had an internal short causing a melt down....inside my house. The house filled with smoke and I had no idea what was burning up. With fire extinguisher in hand. I proceeded to freak out thru the house trying to find the source.
The picture show some of the damage to the truck. The battery was still connected but, the battery is fine. The ESC appears to have puked from the inside out.
Note: this was never submerged or hosed off. It never over heated while running. WTF
Dont leave this stuff connected ever !
