I am new to rc rock crawling and I recently bought a axial ax24 and it is a total blast and I would like to start upgrading my crawler but I am not sure what specific upgrades I should put on it so far my only upgrade is brass wheel weights but I would like to further enhance my rc rock crawling experience and maybe i will even try to do compotitions at my local rc shop

I’d start with universal front and rear driveshafts (I have the Rampcrab brand) and a Mofo Rc TorqueBeast 50 size motor ($15, much more power, and far smoother than the stock motor even with the stock esc). Tightening the servo savers down all the way really wakes up the steering response too. The stock servos are crap and once they give up replace with something better. Mine are amazingly still going strong. I also replaced the stock wheels and tires with Injora brass beadlocks, Injora S5 compound tires similar to stock size, and Injora silicon inserts (these 3 items basically weigh as much as the stock vehicle and put all of that weight down low for incredible stability, hence the need for the Mofo 50 size motor unless you went brushless).

YouTube is a good source of information for Axial 1/24 RCs. Type in Axial AX24 or Axial SCX24 to search for channels with info on these Axial minis.

Lots of good channels with info on free mods, reviews of popular upgrade products, etc.

Channels that I tend to frequent are -
Cape Crawlers at Cape Crawlers
24Yep at 24Yep
Money Pit RC Moneypit__RC

These guys seem to be up-to-date on all the latest and greatest for the Axial minis.
