Harley Designs and Scale Builder's Guild had a great livestream interview with Matt Kearney who is better known as a cofounder of Axial Racing. Matt was also heavily involved in the design and engineering of some Axial rigs including the SCX10 III. He also gave us the early and awesome Axial marketing that really caught my eye online and in magazines.
As many members on here know, I was a massive Axial fan who turned into a huge detractor. The original SCX10 got me into this niche of scale RC and it was so different that it blew me away and really hooked me. The SCX10 II, at the time, was a letdown of a release to me. Looking back now, it's still a great truck with flaws mostly related the the low quality materials. I was a major critic, often unfairly, of the quality of plastics of SCX10 II and the machines that came between it and the OG SCX10. Matt explains some of the cause of the material quality issues, the lack of parts and truck supply a few years ago, and many other things in this livestream. It really was a very interesting session and I highly suggest watching it.
