Hello. I bought my son the Axial Deadbolt SCX24 in October 2019. It worked great and he loved it. This week he was using it in the house and the drive motor just stopped. I checked all wiring, battery charge, mounts and tried to google the issue. Before I buy a new motor I wanted to check if others have had a similar problem or if anyone is aware of this issue and can offer a fix. Thank you.

Pull the motor and connect it directly to the battery if it dosent spin replace it. If it does spin, check the drive train or replace the electronics.

First just make sure it's the motor is all im saying. They are throw away motors, not worth trying to repair if they burn up.

Call horizon hobby they will send you a new motor. The RC4WD motor is a direct swap just have to re solder the leads. It is a touch slower but seems smoother and has more torque. They sent me a new motor and new esc just took awhile because the parts were on back order. Also, make sure there is no binding in the drivetrain- I had the pin in the front dogbone back out and jam in the axle cup- easy fix.
