I saw that on RPP's new items section, still trying to figure out what makes it $30 more than the SSD 2 speed. Glad to see Axial finally come through with it though.

Compared to the SSD, the Axial one have extra high gear option, servo saver, support for micro or standard size servo and better linkage structure.
if it worth the extra $30...

I didn't realise hot racing cloned our 2 speed.

Our first gear is lower than than the Axial version.

Yeah it came out like a week or so ago. Running yours and it works great.

Servo savers are cheap and the SSD shifts just fine.

So tell us all what the ratios on the axial two speed gears are.
I can't find that info anywhere.

I've been waiting for the Axial 2 speed. I will be ordering this and adding to my kit build. The better shift linkage and hardened gears plus extra gearing options make it worth it to me.

which is exactly what a 2 speed is. lol

If you have the SSD 2 speed you can buy the parts tree from the axial one for $12 and use a mini servo if wanted. "thumbsup"

I really like the shifting linkage but my SSD works just fine. If we can just buy the parts tree I would buy that for the linkage.

the shifting mechanism is plastic....nah I'm good my steel SSD is good. Think I'm gonna grab the parts tree to run a mini servo and maybe see if I can get the linkage to work with it.

EDIT: They do include a steel shifting mechanism too. My bad.

I don't think that plastic mechanism/throw arm is going to be easily compatible with the SSD kit. The shift fork rod attaches very differently.

Axial should had offer this from the beginning when the produce the Yeti and at a 110.00 I think it's kinda of late coming, people would of bought then(like me).Now that SSD did axial job of producing this 2 speed for 96.00 that i bought at that time and now on sale for 65.00 who would you want to buy from.SSD

I'm wondering if they are gonna sell separate replacement parts...doesn't look like it except plastic parts trees.

The $95 price looks bad, but in reality, i can get it from TH for $80 shipped and from what i can see, it would cost me $70 to get the SSD to my house, so i don't think the gap is as big as people make it look. That said if I had more items to buy from RPP and could find some coupons, the price would drop on the SSD.

All that said, it still super sad that it took them so long, and props to SSD for beating them by half a year!
