Here ya go Axial Racing fanatics, they have just dropped their first 6×6 with the SCX10 II UMG10 RTR. That’s right, soon you will be able to get 6 wheel drive, along with a classic military style body, on the latest Axial Racing release. Here are the highlights-

* Tandem AR44 rear axles
* Extended frame rails
* LED lighting front & rear
* 2 piece bed design
* 35 turn brushed motor
* Waterproof electronics
* Full bearing set
* Rugged AR44 axles
* SCX10 II metal gear transmission
* Military based crew cab body
* Realistic rear cage
* Molded plastic grill
* Body hinged at rear
* 1.9″ MT45 tires molded in S30 compound rubber
* Military spec, injection-molded, 3-piece, MW19 beadlock wheels

Street pricing for the Axial Racing UMG10 6×6 is listed at $449, it has a part number of #AXI03002, and it is expected to start shipping in the middle of September.

With those military wheels.. I wonder. Would Axial be so bold as to release a MAN-Kat1 body for that chassis? Or a HEMTT-like one?
Would be ‘small scale’ compared to the usual crawlers, however, I’d say this opens new avenues for ‘Euro-Style’ Truck-trial Trucks.

( One can dream, ey? )

All-in-all, Axial is on a roll! First we get an Unimog, and now a six-wheeler. What’s next? An eight-wheeler?? A ready to run, true to style Southern Rock bouncer?

is this the "big reveal" from axial fest?

*SNORE*

i really hope they have something else brewing...

RE: I do like it - wish it had the black wheels of the original UMG10 and the R35 compound tires - 'cuz buyin' 6 (or 7!) stickier tires will be pricey! :oops:

But, like many have said - let's also drop a re-done SMT-10 (not so much for me, but there's loads of interest out there) ;-)

And...

I also agree with Jay-Em, how about a SRRS (Southern Rock Racing Series) rock bouncer - go for a Tim Cameron, Bobby Tanner, or Randall Key rig for recognition like they did for KOH with Randy Slawson's Bomber.

That's what I'd LOVE to see! "thumbsup"

(or, go all-out crazy and release an "Outlaw" from Clayton freakin' Hollingsworth...) :twisted:

Ooff. Yeah. I’d be àllover a Tim Cameron Showtime bouncer. The Outlaw might be a step too far for Axial. . thàt thing looks totally bizar. :shock: Intriguing, but bizar. Quite unique, though.

Very excited about new release of 6x6, however military wheels does not fit this body and someone said earlier buying 6+ wheels will be expensive.
Wish someone will come up with Euro truck body such as Scania, Iveco or Man, similar to Dakar Rally trucks.

I'm all good on a 6x6.
Been wanting to make one..
But....
A Unimog with out Portals is not a Unimog.
They could have at least gave it a proper body and not do Portals.

I've been building something similar to that for a while now in my spare time. My 3D printer was down for the count for a while, but it's up and running again and I'm about 95% done with all the mounting hardware that will allow me to attach everything directly to the chassis, rather than having to use body clips/posts.

I will admit though, I'm a little stumped on how I'm going to mount all of the electronics. My original plan was to stash everything in the cab and then hid the battery in some cargo crates or something in the bed, but I don't think I'm going to go that route.

Heck yeah!!! Cameron’s rig or outlaw would kill it. I’d sell the bomber for a bouncer in a second.

It's the third axle housing, with the pinion centered. The set comes with the passthrough for the second axle but can't find the rest of the components on RPP.
