Kind of regret did not buy it back in the days. Now the crawlers fever has returned and heated me up very bad. Is the new Ridgecrest similar to scorpion or its a even more entry level rig? Still cant decide SCX10 or Ridgecrest. Cant afford both. Like the scale look and also like the rock 2.2 from the Scorpion....

Looks like the new age of rock crawling is getting hi speed for racing too? I am so dis-connected with the new trend. What to do... LOL

Ridgecrest and Wraith both have the wider "OCP" AR60 axels, but the Ridgecrest has a more basic (not for looks) chassis, and the Wraith has an integrated tube cage chassis.

The SCX10 has the same axels as the AX10 Scorpion had, but has a linear scale chassis rather than the basic one the Scorpion had.

All 4 use the same basic transmission (use the same gears), the AX10s and SCX10 are all the same, but the Wraith transmission case has the ability to add a DIG unit into it.

The big factor is if you want to scale crawl, or comp crawl. For scale, SCX or Wraith. For comp, I think your better off piecing it together from parts, but if you want the bones it depends on if you want the old school AX/SCX axels or the AR60s.

Get the scx, same axles as the old ax, pick up a stock chassis and swap the axles back and forth. I have a skid and rails if you need them.

Now i am learning new things everything. I like 1.9 scale "look"; seems like a Ridgecrest can also use "scale body" too. Then, would this be a more win win situation? I have a better crawling ability with the Ridgecrest chassis and put a Bronco body to get a scale look.
Or the SCX series "H" shape chassis has advantage over the Ridgecrest chassis. I dont do much competiotion. Just craw for dun. What do you think? Thanks

Anything.will accept a scale body. The ridgecrest is actually a tvp chassis along with the ax-10 meaning twin vertical plate. Anything but scaler material. The scx actually has a frame and wraith having a plastic toob chassis. The ax10 has little to offer anymore. The chassis is out of date and stock width and link geometry is very short of ideal. More likely was discontinued due to lack of sale with not only scale side growing more but on the comp side moa, and shafty use little if anything from the ax to make worthwhile keeping it around.
