Hey everyone new to the forum, just purchased an Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt and would like to upgrade to be competitive in the 1.9 Trail class with U4RC. As you may know the Deadbolt has a about a 5.9 mile/hr top speed. I would like to increase the speed, while maintaining the ability to get through the rocks on a Rock Racing track.

Motor:
ECU:
Gearing:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Wes

Install 2 speed transmission then you can crawl an have a trail truck to by the flip if a switch

Don't bother with 2 speed to race, that's just parts & complication that aren't needed.
Esc- good 80-120A sensored, Castle, Tekin, Hobbywing
Motor- 3500-3800kv sensored, Castle, Tekin, HW, Holmes, Tenshock
Stock gearing is fine, maybe up 1 or 2 on pinion
3s lipo around 2200mah, 50c+, you'll use 1 per race either have multiple or be prepared to charge.

I agree a 2-speed is a waste on an SCX10 II.

Better ESC and motor are the way to go for sure.
