It's been a while since I have posted on my Mounty. And since SlinkySam got his rig finished and asked about new pics of my rig I figured I needed to update my gallery with the latest changes.

This is the same configuration when I ran it up in Shasta, and I was constantly amazed on how well it did.

The latest change was RCKJeep's second version of the 2.2 RockRings.

I removed my old battery tray so I can use a flat 6 cell pack which also lowered the battery so it now sits on the skid plate and is wedged in between the tranny and frame rail. This change was a great improvement in stability.

I added a winch a while ago using a HS-645 servo. This has been one of the most fun additions to the rig. The winch can pick the (heavy) truck of the ground no problem.

I axle mounted my steering servo. The steering no longer raises and lowers the suspention (Sam knows what I am talking about  ) It was a easy change, I just made two l brackets out of aluminum.

I moved the tie rod above the axle because it was getting caught up and being bent all the time.

I had a big problem with the front drive shaft constantly slipping out, so I reversed the front leaf mounts putting the one that moves in the front (I can't remember what it is called? Shackle maybe? ) Now the front drive shaft has very little in and out movement solving that problem.

Here are the rest of the angles.

And I am still using the white body since I do not have my flat bed yet.

Wow, those are some serious changes. I bet that thing is like night and day when compared to how it was set up when I drove it (including the steer and lift system ;) ). Those are some bling bling shocks too man. Whoever you got those from sure hooked you up. I bet those make all the difference in crawling.

I dig the body the way it is actually. It reminds me of my old Toyota.

So are you up for an after work run sometime? I have some big bugs to work out, but I am down for some crawling.

Yeah I remember seeing a pic of your old yota. It does look very similar! And the bling bling shock are what give me the insane amount of travel! They do the job though.

I am down to crawl after work, I can do Wed, Thur, or Fri. Let me know.
