Anybody running Mickey Thompson Baja mtz 1.9’s on the rc4wd landies? I saw a video that said 2.2 wheels fit better on this tire...

If I were you I'd ignore that comment about fitting 2.2" wheels better. In my experience 100% of the 1.9" tires I've mounted on 1.9" wheels have fit like they were made for it. Mounting beadlocks can be difficult and my guess is this person gave up on one set and tried another (the 2.2"). I'll just add that RC4WD wheels are some of the most fiddly wheels I've worked with, I avoid their stamped steel wheels like these. When mounting up these beadlocks it helps immensely to use 2 longer bolts to get them started.

I'll also point out that the compound of these tires isnt their best compound as its an older tire. With RC4WD tires look for the X2 S3 compound if you want their best tires.

Thanks for the input. What do you mean by “fiddly” on the rc4wd wheels? Know of any alternatives? Really like the classic look on the landies...

I just mean they're not the easiest to mount up. The fact that when assembling them your seating both sides at the same time makes it more challenging too.
That said you should be able to make them work if you're patient.

Gmade makes some similar wheels but they are super heavy and have a fixed hub with a narrow offset that I've found too narrow for most crawlers (though I am using larger tires, the tires are what rub).

Ok cool. I think I’m going with the ottsix voodoos kl3s now. I want tall skinnies, that is why
I targeted the MT Baja’s. Darn kl3s don’t come with foam though.
