I have an old 1500mAH 6 cell battery pack and was wandering if it would be safe to tear apart and split the cells into two stacks of three so i can mount them on my AX10 front axle for weight?

Alrighty, well i have never messed around with loose cell batteries and making my own packs etc. So what do i look for in regards to individual voltage, mAH, weight(since i will be using them for weight distribution and traction).

you can get cbp to make a complete battery pack for you that will work with your application email them and ask some questions they have all your awnsers also john rob holmes can help to! "thumbsup"

Soldering is nothing new to me so thats not a problem. So your saying it is ok to tear apart that battery and break it down then?

Yeah, totally cool then. Dont let the iron sit on the cell for more than a second, and make sure you use a 60w iron or higher. Dont use a soldering gun, the tip doesn't hold enough heat.

Well i tried it, no luck. The cells are too big and hit the inside of the tire when turning so. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Are they sub-C packs? 2/3a fits for sure

Oh well i ordered 2 sets of your saddle packs anyway! Thanks for the feedback. One question, since i did buy two sets, if i wired them together would that give me longer run times. Example: Each set is 1500mAH so both wired together would that be the same as a 3000 mAH battery pack? Probably a stupid question but better to ask anyway.

Yep, they are ready to plug in. You could always make a harness for them, or have somebody else make a parallel harness. I say keep one pack in your back pocket and swap em out when the other dies down.
