So, with star cut foam in place... how many BBs are supposed to be put in each 2.2 tire? One shot glass full? Two shot glasses full?

Does the star cut foam allow the BBs to move around?

Do you have to run foam with BBs?

Is the airsoft BBs mixed with normal BBs a better idea?

Most put the BB's in the tires without the foam. Some mix the BB and some dont, I have seen 4-6oz added to the tires but it all depends on you taste and feel.

The weight is all personel prefrence. I've tryed the airsoft BB's in my tires about 7oz. each plus the weight of the tire/wheel combo comes to about 13oz. my rig is prety light and I noticed it works better with heavy axles but it also puts alot of strain on moving parts. I'm gonna retire the BB's for now and try some Squishy foams, there heavier than a normal tire foam and work 10 times better."thumbsup"

I haven't touched a bb since I got some Squishy's - they rule. No cutting or weight addition required, and the performance is far better than any other tire filling method...

I am running heavy erickson beadlocks and soon Squishy foams I will never run BB's/ or other weights again! These wheels ROCK!!

go with the red kreepy krawler memory foams and you wont have to cut or weight your wheels. they work awesome out of the box in any good tire out there.

In my opinion: Just say no to bb's
I know others won't agree with this, but bb's are a pain in the butt, to much of a hassle, and aren't needed. I think I'm correct when saying: Out of the top 5 at the nationals, none of them were running bb's. Why? Because they aren't needed to keep a low center of gravity.

Try 1/4oz stick on weights used by tire companies to balance wheels. They fit in the center section of a rim nicely and are far easier to deal with.

How much: Look in another thread in the tires section (do a search) I personally use 3.6oz in each wheel up front and half that in the rear for a sprung chassis like the SW3 Bender Custom.

Listen to these guys and get some Kreepy foams, with a few stick on weights you'll be golden.

They are foam tire inserts very similar to memory foam like in a mattress. The rebound will vary but it allows tires to flex out like a low tire pressure and then rebound back without a jolt.

Ok... just ordered my Red Foams from KreepyKrawler. $32 bucks for 4.
I'm gonna run red foams with stick on wheel weights on my stock AX-10 tires and wheels for now until I buy some Rock Stompers this winter.

This setup seems better than pissing around with BBs or water.
