I am a newbie to crawling. I just got a Venom
and the wheels look pretty nice but, If and when
I want to upgrade to different wheels what would be
the best chioce?

i just got a set of Mayhem Double Phatty comp beadlocks, they are awesome, the craftsmanship is amazing

the rolling weights is an excellent idea and trully works, although they are loud

i would not think twice about reccomending Mayhem wheels

I like the way the Bergs look. Are these any good. I have seen some
wheels that had holes in the wheels and you could put weights in the
holes, what are those? What else are being used?

I am running mayhem double phattys as well. You can not beat the craftsmanship of these wheels. The ones that have the removeable sluggs are from Vanquish products, another great wheel. Their are several different ways to go, Delrin,Aluminum and plastic. Check the vendors forum for a bunch of different wheels. Just remember that you get what you pay for.

Yeah moabax hit it on the head. They are the vanquish 2.2 pro dh wheels. Personally I think these wheels are amazing! Not only is the weight easily adjusted by the metal slugs, but they have three different wheel off sets you can change out into the wheel by just removing the center hub and putting a different one in. The best part is you can buy the hubs, rings, and weights seperatley. They are really expensive though, but worth it in my eyes."thumbsup"

Take a look in the vendors section that's where all the beadlock manufactures hang out. You can't go wrong with any of them all good quality products lots of different styles and colors and prices to choose from. If we can help just let us know.

Thanks Mayhem Eng.

i went w/ mayhem double phatties, awesome design and craftsmanship, as well as excellent customer service!

i was gonna go w/ the vanquish wheels, but they are TOO expensive imo.

i think that for a cheaper wheel, the eritex delrin beadlocks are the best bang for the buck.

whats the major benefit over the stock wheels?? would love to get a new set ,but is it just for the looks or is there more ? thanks

Hey thanks for all the replies and Mayhem for chiming in. When it is
time I might have to go with Mayhem. I like the Vanquish also, a little
pricey. Besides If Mayhem can take the time and reply to this thread,
it just mean that there customer support is prolly pretty good.

You can't go wrong with the Mayhems or the Vanquish if you want aluminum rims, but I have the chime in for my Eritex delrin wheels. . . I love my 2.2 comp heavies. They aren't nearly as pretty as the aluminum offerings, but they are super functional and perfect if you are budget conscious (everyone is thinking about their budget in this economy)--much better than the plastic wheels out there IMHO. Be sure to also check out Create-A-Crawler (CAC), Montana Scale Designs (MSD), and DNA RC, and RC4wd--great vendors all around.

their customer support cant be beat. love their products...only have 2 sets of their wheels but its eought to know they rock...

i haven't gotten into the comp. wheels yet, but i have a set of MSD 2.2 straight 6 and a set of DNA visionary assassins. both are good quality. i found them used, so the price wasn't too bad.
