Because I’m jealous of my wife’s rig, scale truck build

Found a 3d printed hitch for the brx01, however with my bed I didn’t think it would work. Got in que for my wife to print it but I couldn’t wait.

Decided to make my own. The factory screw holes for the stock bed attachment worked out well for it. Just ran a drill bit through the stock holes and bolted it down. Sits right at the perfect height for the camper

We are hitched up and ready to go, g6 is right around the corner and this years theme is happy camper.

This will be the only time I take a photo of an action figure outside an rc but it seems pretty scale to me. I just have to shoehorn him into the interior. He may lose some height but it’ll be fine.

Added a fire extinguisher just because. And strapped the working rc4wd hi lift jack on the bed box/ battery box.

Making the camper a little happier.

Scale nets are way too dang big to do anything with. Had to cut it down and make it fit my roof rack to actually be usable.

Left is how they come, right is adjusted to fit my rack.

Added some junk in the rack and tossed on a trash a roo. Spaced for no copyright issues 😂

My scale mtn bike should be here tomorrow and I need to 3d print some more small parts for it.

Thar trailer 3D printered?

Trailer jack and steps that lead no where. The steps screw in from the backside and I didn’t want to take the panel off again so I used toothpicks in the holes with model glue and cut them off just enough to go into the step holes, held in with more model glue.

Pillows dried over night and now it gives army vibes now but that’s ok cause I got my best sleep in the service. (Little to none)

And my newly acquired driver fig fits perfectly in the cab and holds himself in place with the wheel. Nice touch from killer body that the steering wheel goes up and down.

Ordered these little pans and decided to use the kitchen in the camper. Added the sink, faucet and some camping gear.

Dug through my deep bin of scale stickers and found a perfect addition to the camper. This years G6 theme, happy camper!

And my scale generator finished printing and with a little paint markers to make it a little “used”

Looks titts! Can't wait to get going on mine. We never cooked in our camper....1:1. We didn't wanna smell like cooking while sleeping. Basically setup an outdoor kitchen, although we had a regular one in the 28ft jayco...

Haha makes sense! My buddy has a camper similar to this. I think the kitchen is kinda useless but it is a place to sleep off the dirt and out of the rain. Having any space to setup a stove or make a cup of coffee is nice though.

Ok, I broke down and bought some metal leaf springs for the camper.

Swap was easy, just need the correct length springs. I had some already but they were tf2 ones and would probably would have jacked the trailer up 2”.

Don’t mind the top right bolt, I drilled out the hanger without checking the bolt length that came with and it was too short. I’ll replace both hangers that bolt to the camper with metal ones. Just need another set to do so.

I stopped working on the camper to work on the truck 😂

It needed an engine bay, badly. So, I bought the file and printed it. For $5 it’s worth it.

7 hrs later and a little bit of paint pen work and we have an engine bay!

Test fit on the chassis went perfect. Fits right around everything including shocks and motor. Makes it easy there was a separate print for brx01 chassis.

And a tiny detail that has been missing…. The snorkel head. I lost it somewhere when building the body and forgot all about it. Luckily Asia tees had the parts tree in stock.

I also added an extra leaf to the rear leaf springs to keep the bed off the tires.

Have you looked at the 1/14 semi truck trailer springs? They're a bit shorter and come with neat hardware....

I think that’s what I ended up with. They were just a couple mm off and that helped since the leaf flatten out at bit. Didn’t raise the whole camper up

After reading the g6 itinerary again I realized I didn’t have all the little “not mandatory, but highly recommended” things.

Scale solar panels.

Well 3d printed ones wouldn’t suffice for me. I found scale size real working ones. Ordered them up and mounted them on the back of the camper.

And I didn’t want a bunch of wires running all over the camper so I decided to run one single bulb to the inside of the camper. Gotta wait until tomorrow to make sure it works
