Whats even better is I'm brewing a Pliny clone tomorrow, ill be practically drowning in this this liquid gold.

I got a recipe for Pliny in a recent issue of Zymurgy.....been meaning to brew it but our weather hasn't been the greatest. Let us know how it turns out!!

Ya I got mine from AHS they had a really good deal and i couldnt pass it up. Ill deffinatly let you guys know how it goes.

Port Brewing Imperial Pilsner

I've never bought an Imperial Pilsner, mostly because I don't like Lagers, but I am a big fan of Port Brewing, so I thought I'd give this one a shot. Not crazy about it......at 9.5%, it tastes like a very boozy Budweiser.

How was the Ranger IPA? I've heard about it but haven't seen it yet in the stores. Im gonna have to get some of that Imperial Pilsner maybe itll get some BMC drinkers into good beer.

I dont hate him. "thumbsup"

I guess I need to move to Foothill Ranch......until then I hate both of you!

The stores around here limit us to either 2 or 3 Pliny's per visit depending on the store. Right now most all of them are out.

Surprisingly good. It's much lighter than some of the heavy hitting IPA's. I'd buy it.

I just popped this one open. I'm a big fan of Reds, so this one caught my eye. Very tasty!

Pliny is just as hard to get around here too. Most stores will only let you get a few. My Gf looked for basically 2 months and had a few stores about to sell a whole case but they couldn't come through with it. Finally she found a place about an hour away that didn't mind and i guess had multiple cases. Most places i think only get one a month. The ranger sounds good as long as its a fair price, nothing wrong with a light IPA. Hop head red is very tasty but your picture makes it look more like a Porter or a light Stout haha.

Some beers cory and I have tasted in the last month.

Sorry for the crappy pics my camera has been not working right.

Black IPA i believe at 8% This beer was really hard to poor. It just foamed like crazy.

Green Flash - Le Freak is a great beer "thumbsup"

Victory - Hop Wallop was pretty good "thumbsup"

Picked up a John John Ale. Its Rouge Dead Guy Ale aged in a oak whiskey barrel. Very similar to the standard Dead Guy ale just with a slight oak barrel taste and slightly sweeter. The mouth feel is also slightly thicker. Two finger head. Of the Rouge series beers this is one of the better ones I've had. Pricey but worth it.

Then a Founders Centennial IPA this stuff is chalked full of Piney hops and others. The scent of the beer has a almost floral hoppy scent. Refreshingly hoppy beer. Pretty thin mild mouth feel. One finder head. I've been trying Founders brews a lot lately their brews seems to taste different then the norm.

I've seen a few beers on here from Green Flash recently, so I've been on the lookout for them. Finally found a local store that carries their stuff, so I decided I'd try their West Coast IPA first. I like it a lot. Very bright taste with layers of hop flavor. A little darker and stronger than the Ranger from NBB, but not as strong as some of the other popular IPAs.

I picked this up the other day and finally opened it tonight....pretty good. Slightly more bitter than I am used to, but still tastey!
