Belly Dragger Getting Closer!!!!

Yes and no. This is the point where I need to decide: will this be a shaft driven truck....or a clod.
I want to do the inverted Emaxx tranny. If it doesn't work well, then I'm going with clod axles.

Dirk, did I hear the word clod?! Try it man, they're neat things. If you ever break something, there is always a steel replacement. A bit narrow but hopefully I'll fix that soon...

I've been considering building one for the last 6 months. This seems like a good time and I know someone who has the axles. We'll see.

Dirk, here is a cradle I whipped up today. This wheelbase is 15" and axle center height is 4" so it could even be used as a test stand.

That's so cool!

I would imagine that with the creativity you used in making the wood structures, you will most likely build one awesome rig!!!

Dirk...thinking of the dark side!!!! Just get'er done! If ya need some help with ideas on how to make it work, just gimmie a call or drop me an email...I get plenty of time to stand around and think at work!!

Thanks Dirk. I'm hoping this rig is good. Its my first one so we'll see. It doesnt seem like there are too many crawlers in my area though. Maybe some will pop up.
