Hi All.
First of all I'd like to say that RCCrawler is a nice way to get information about this hobby.

Even I'm trying hard I'm still looking for an answer and I think you can help me.

I'm looking for aluminum links as AX30550 and I've found one at Amazon for $54.41. (http://ow.ly/Zx4OO)
There are other cheaper options but with less parts. (Amazon.com: Axial AX30426 Steering Upgrade Kit: Toys & Games)

I don't want to buy a kit that some parts will keep on the shelf.
So wich one is the best kit only for upgrading for 4 links and having a servo and steering made by aluminum?

Thank you in advance!

The $52 kit (AX30550) has everything to convert the upper and lower links and the steering linkage to aluminum. There will be some parts left over because the kit has the components to covert the upper to either 3-link or 4-link.

The cheaper kit (AX30426 ) is just the steering linkage that's included with the AX30550 kit.

If you just want to upgrade lower links and steering, buy AX30426 and look for just the lower links. It might save you a little cash.

Thank u Soldat.
Is it a best practice changing 3 for 4 links?

I'm also curious about this.

a.lattari, Sorry I missed this when you posted it a few days ago.

Some people have lost a little bit of lift changing the front to 4-link, changing the rear was not a problem, but I really can't say for sure. My SCX10 is still plastic 3-link uppers, I haven't decided on a body yet so the wheelbase isn't decided either. Thinking about Comanche, Cherokee or Nukizer.

The nice thing about the TR link set is you have the parts to do both, 3-link front and rear, 4-link front and rear, or 3-link on one end and 4-link on the other. It's one of the reason I recommend the TR sets, you can change back to aluminum 3-link if the 4-link upper causes problems.

I would suggest getting in touch with R2J. He makes very nice stainless links. I like to run stainless for my lowers and light titanium for the uppers. It would be OK to run aluminum for your uppers since they don't make contact with rocks etc and they are light weight. I wouldn't run uluminum for lowers ever. They get chewed up on rocks and don't slide over objects like stainless or titanium. Just some info for thought. "thumbsup"

Buy the full kit and change them all, including the steering linkage. I put the full kit on my Rubicon and it was a great upgrade.
