ok guys I just bought a wraith and I want to buy a good steering up grade what should it be? my wraith will be use for just crawling.

1. vanquish steering links?
2. ck rc steering kit
3. others?

300 oz or better servo, bec, and titanium links.

And stay away from the CKRC suicide switch steering kit. I have it and don't like it. conventional drag link and tie rod is the way to go.

Servo with bec first, otherwise you will be buying a servo and bec very quickly.

DO NOT buy anything from ck rc...do a little searching and you'll find that they suck balls.

THat said, Hitec 7950TH is nice servo, buy the VP ti link set at the same time. VP aluminum chubs and knuckles are highly reccommended at same time due to added stress put on them by the servo and steering links.

thanks I plan on the vanquish c hubs etc at some point I haven't even ran one battery though it as of yet. ok I will order the VP links. the only reason I thought the CK stuff might be ok is the approach angles might be better. then I looked at the nut hanging out of the steering links made me think other wise

The steering link doesnt have to be Vanquish i have the Topcad one on mine and it works perfectly if you want to save a few coins.

The poor performance of that style of steering, the bad vendor, always do some searching and lots of READING before you buy. "thumbsup"

I agree on Universals. Stock shafts will bind with stronger steering
I have a Hitec 7954. Really good servo. I picked up a Hobbico C170 (?) used off RCtech. Got it for $40. Fantastic. Been using that for a while now after I sent in my hitec for service.
I had the Topcad Steering link. Broke in 2 places after 15 minutes. Piece of shet. Get the Vanquish. It's a lot more than the STRC one, but it's only a matter of $15 or so.
I'm still running stock C-hubs and steering knuckles. Don't see any reason to replace these.

My rig is setup for strictly crawling

Universals and better links go a long long way. Stock knuckles and C's are pretty tough...much tougher than their ax/scx counterparts.
