So I jumped on the BMRC spool deal and they arrived today. Nice product!
Long day at work and needed some garage time so decided to go ahead and throw them in the Bomber.

Started on the rear and had no issues. I'm running the under-drive gears in the rear with stock axles. Rear went so smooth decided to go ahead and knock out the front real quick.

However, I'm still running the stock gears in the front.
Pulled the locker off the stock ring and realized yeah, those locating pins on the ring are gonna be and issue.
Figured, Nothing ventured, nothing gained.... and dremeled of the locating pins.
Installed spool and went to install the short side of my vvd v1-hd axles and it will not seat on the bearing in the knuckle. Long side seats fine.
Grab my stock short side and it will seat?

Decided to walk away and look at it again tomorrow.
I guess my next step will be to pull the under-drive gears from the rear and move to the front see if there is any clearance issues. If not, then I have to decide to go with under/under or under/over?

Something else to lose sleep over along with roc412 2300 or 3100?

I vote underdrive rear /standard front HD and 2300kv on 4s. I run this in my crawler Bomber and it is so nice. Excellent low speed control and plenty of power on tap for any situation. Overdrive gears have poor mesh and you don't want that with brushless power.

I have a been running 3s 2200 packs I have on hand with my stock setup.
Any experience on 3s with the 2300kv? I'm looking looking for a crawling setup and not speed.

Yeah, 3s with a 2200kv Holmes Puller Pro is what I used to run most of the time in my crawler Bomber and if you're looking for crawling performance primarily, you'll be very happy with this kv/voltage. I only recently tried a 4s battery in the same truck and became addicted immediately. Same low speed performance but even more wheelspeed and torque when you need it. I've now added the bunny hop to my list of obstacle tricks.
