Boom Racing 2.2 TE37XD Wheels

i have boom racing 2.2 te37xd wheels, id like to use scale hardware on them but because of the offset hub im using, the bolt size needed is M2.5x16.
The closest i can find is M2.5x12, can i get away with using M2.5x12 or no?
